Healing and Recovery Resources for You

Life Won't Wait.
Begin Healing from Your Assault Anytime, Anywhere
with Phone Consultation

  • Are you overwhelmed by thoughts and memories of your assault?
  • Is it hard for you to become intimate or to resume an intimate relationship?
  • Do you have feelings of anger, rage, or fear?
  • Is it hard for you to enjoy sexual contact with your partner?
  • Are you using promiscuity as a way of coping with what happened to you?
  • Do you avoid thinking of, or even talking about, your assault?
I'm so sorry that you've been victimized and had to go through this most intrusive of crimes.

As a cognitive/behavioral therapist and consultant, I've devoted over a decade to helping victims of assault and as a victim myself, I understand and empathize with what you've been through.  If you've answered yes to any of the above, you may find one-on-one phone consultation of great comfort.

Benefits of Consultation for Rape Recovery

Some long term benefits that you may experience, as many of my clients have, include:
  • Create a healing environment with your partner so you can begin to enjoy your sexuality once again
  • Begin resolving the issue of your assault and build a greater capacity for intimacy in your relationship
  • Learn new methods of touch so that you needn't be fearful
  • Gain insight into your assault so you can control extreme feelings and responses
  • Learn the process of recovery so you can make progress much faster
  • Create a healthy sex image so you can avoid inappropriate sexualization of relationships

In addition to being a masters level therapist, I have additional training in phototherapy, which I highly recommend for the process of resolving your feelings around sexual assault.

Utilizing exercises related to photographs taken previously and while in consultation allows us to work through a number of challenges even more efficiently.

My Approach

I have a kind and gentle nature and a great deal of compassion and empathy for those who are suffering from sexual assault.  In our consultation, we work collaboratively as we work together to resolve those issues that are holding you back from experiencing your feelings and moving forward.  I've made the process of phone consultation very effortless for you; let me give you an idea of how we'd proceed:

Schedule Your Appointment Now with Just a Few Simple Steps

I've made phone consultation very easy and convenient.  You can make an appointment through my online web appointment scheduler.

1.  The first time you visit, you're asked to set up an account which takes only a few moments.  All I need is:

  • Your first and last name
  • An email address (for reminders and confirmations)
  • A phone number at which I'll call you, and
  • The general reason for our phone consultation

2.    Set an appointment that fits closest with your schedule.

3.    I'll ask you to pay for your appointment; I accept all major credit cards and PayPal
(You don't need a PayPal account).

4.    I'll confirm that appointment with you by email and a reminder prior to our phone consultation.
I'll call you at the scheduled time and at the number you provided to me.

A Word About the Difference Between Consultation and Therapy

As a professional therapist and consultant for over a decade, I'm very aware of when therapy is indicated and when consultation is more beneficial to my clients.

There's no doubt that therapy has a very valuable place in treating many different disorders, but there may be instances when consultation is much more effective for your progress.

Some issues such as intimacy and sexuality work perfectly through consultation because deeper issues such as intense flashbacks and nightmares have been resolved.  However, if I feeling after speaking with you that in-person counseling is more appropriate, I'll be happy to refer you to someone in your area.  If we both determine you have issues that are suited to consultation, I'll be monitoring your progress so that you experience optimum results.
